Your Privacy Choices

California and several other states give you the right to opt out of the sale of your personal information, its sharing for cross-context behavioral advertising or targeted advertising, and certain profiling, and to limit the use of your sensitive personal information. This page explains where Forrest Holdings LLC ("FORREST") stands on each, and gives you a way to act on each.

1. We do not sell your personal information

We do not sell personal information for money or anything else of value, and we have not done so in the past 12 months. We do not sell the personal information of anyone under 16.

2. We do not share it for targeted advertising

FORREST shows no ads. We do not share your personal information with advertisers, ad networks, or data brokers, and we do not use third-party advertising cookies, pixels, or software development kits.

3. We do not use profiling for significant decisions

We use automated processing to create your vibe and recommend people, as explained in our AI and Vibe Analysis Notice. We do not use profiling to make decisions that produce legal or similarly significant effects, such as decisions about credit, housing, employment, insurance, education, or healthcare.

4. Sensitive personal information

We collect and use sensitive personal information (precise geolocation, your vibe selfie and voice sample, identity verification data, optional ethnicity or orientation details you choose to add, account credentials, and message content) only to provide the features you ask for, to keep FORREST safe and secure, and for other purposes the law allows. Your vibe is an inference drawn from your selfie and voice sample, so we give you a way to limit that use.

Limit the Use of My Sensitive Personal Information. In Settings, Privacy, Your Privacy Choices, tap Limit Use. This withdraws your vibe consent: your vibe leaves discovery right away and your vibe selfie and voice sample are deleted within 60 minutes. You can also:

Location: turn off location access or hide yourself from discovery. See our Location Data Notice.

Optional profile details: remove them from your profile, or turn off their display, at any time.

Where state law requires opt-in consent to process sensitive data, we ask for it in the app before we collect it.

5. Send us a request anyway

You can send an opt-out or limit request at any time, and we will confirm it:

In the app: Settings, Privacy, Your Privacy Choices.

By email: privacy@forrestthesocialapp.com with the subject "Do Not Sell or Share."

Global Privacy Control: if your browser sends a Global Privacy Control signal, we treat it as a valid opt-out request.

You do not need an account to send a request, and we will not ask for more information than we need to process it. An authorized agent can send a request for you.
